Maverik's 4th Birthday

Maverik spent Saturday night with Grandma Peggy, Haylee and Whitlee. I didn't pick him up until around 10 and he was still tired from all the excitement so we went home a took it easy. Adam and I took him to the park with his new scooter. He mostly just pushes it around so we'll have to work on it a little bit. :) He was telling all the other kids at the park that he used to be 3 but has turned out to be 4 now and soon he will have a baby brother, I'm hoping he is right!! :)

Maverik's Birthday Party

Maverik had a great time at his birthday party. Thank you so much to everyone that came! I can't believe my little baby is 4 years old!! We rented a moonwalk and I'm not sure who had more fun, Adam or the kids. I think Adam has more skinned up elbows and arms than all the kids put together. I hope everyone had a good time, we sure did!!

Walter's Pumpkin Patch

We went up to Walter's pumpkin patch a couple of weekends ago. I wanted to get there early but we didn't make it until around 1. First we stopped in Augusta at Dairy Queen to eat and I let Maverik get some ice cream against my better judgement.. He picked a red/white/blue star popsicle which stained his face all red, making him look pretty dirty in all my pictures.... The pumpkin patch was fun but it was about 85 degrees outside so we were all pretty hot and miserable in our "fall" clothes. So about 3 hours and 4 pumpkins later we made it home with Maverik passed out in the back seat.

Here are the first pics of our new addition. Yes, I finally talked Adam into letting me have a puppy... and look who's all cuddled up with him. He is almost 8 weeks old and was born on my birthday, it was meant to be. :) So now we are going through puppy training which isn't going that great but it could be a lot worse. Surely he'll be potty trained by the time the baby gets here, right!?!?

Here's a few pics of Haylee's 6th birthday party. I can't believe she's 6, she's already making me feel old. Poor Maverik didn't know what to think at first with all of her school friends there, he felt a little left out and tried so hard to get her attention. He got over it pretty quick when we hit the pool, he's such a little fish. We have to drag him out screaming and crying.

Here's some random pics at the house. Maverik is in the fighting/wrestling stage which Adam loves, but mommy does not. He's so mean for a 3 year old. :( I'd like to think he'll grow out of it, but unfortunately I don't think boys ever grow out of that stage. At least Adam can keep him busy for a while now so I can get some other things done. The pictures of him in the bathtub are when he used two bottles of shaving cream and then got mad because I wanted to take his picture...of course. And I had to throw one in there of our lazy animals, this is what they do all day, what a life...

It's been about a month since I've update this, so I guess it's time. Here's some pics of Maverik eating hotwings from our new Pizza Hut Wingstreet. I don't know who's idea it was to give him a butterknife and a plate of messy wings but it was pretty funny to watch until I had to do cleanup duty.

Yay! We finally got Fluffy snow to play in. We went out to my grandparents last Saturday to go sledding and play in the snow. Maverik had a great time but we were only outside for about an hour and he was done with the cold. :) We tried to go sledding but on the second pass we got a big hole in our snow tube. Good thing Maverik wasn't to excited about it to begin with.

This was the one and only time we got to take Maverik out in the snow. I think Adam had more fun than Maverik though, he was breaking in his new sled. :) Hopefully it will snow again and we'll be able to have some real fun in the snow with Mav.
Here are the very few pictures we got of Maverik opening his presents. Unfortunately we didn't have a lot of time for him to open his presents on Christmas morning, but he wasn't too interested in opening all of them anyway. Adam did get a good shot of Lucky climbing up the Christmas tree for the last time this year before we took it down though...
We didn't get very many pictures this year, but here's some good ones of Maverik and his new "favorite" Uncle Justin playing with once of the huge sacks that his Christmas presents came in. They were cracking me up and Maverik asked about his Uncle Justin for the next 3 days afterwards. I wish we lived closer to Adam's side of the family, we really miss them throughout the year. :(

We finally took Maverik to the dentist today... After we found out Whitlee had a couple cavities and I got nervous. :) I'm not real good at keeping Maverik's teeth brushed. He did so good!!! I was so impressed. The dentist and hygenist were so good with him and made him very comfortable. I couldn't have asked for a better first time dentist visit, he didn't have any cavities (luckily) but they said it looked like he had fallen and hit his 2 front teeth because they were cracked. The doctor said they should be okay, worse case scenerio is that they'd had to be capped. I can live with that.... :)

Here's Mav and Whit. Whitlee spent the night for the very first time and did great. Maverik was so excited to have her over and they were so cute in their matching camo. :) Now if we could just get Maverik to spend the night at Whitlee's house. But I don't think I would do that to Shannon, he's such a little pain in the butt when it comes to bedtime. :)
We went up to Pure Entertainment in Wichita on Sunday. Maverik had SO much fun. There were about 7 or 8 infatable bouncy things and Maverik was running as fast as possible to every one. We were there for about 3 hours and Maverik didn't slow down once. I finally made him stop when his hair was all sweaty and his face was red. :) This place was really awesome, it's only $10 per kid and adults get in free. They even have an adult lounge that sells drinks and food. Everyone there was very helpful and extremely nice, you could tell they liked their jobs. We will definately going back, hopefully with some friends. Maverik wanted Gabe, Whitlee and Haylee to be there so bad, but unfortunately they were all busy... Maybe next time.

Here are a few pics of Maverik's 3rd birthday. He loved all of his presents and plays with them all the time now. We had tons of food and tons of cake, with green icing that grandma Peggy wasn't too fond of. :) The kids had green icing all over them by the time it was over. I'm so glad everyone could make it, but Maverik missed his uncle Scott and Gabe. Wished you guys could've made it Dusti! A big thanks to everyone, especially Adam's parents who made the 2 hour trip for a 3 year old birthday party. It's always so good to see you guys, wish we lived closer!!
